Dapper Mr Bear is a New Zealand owned children's universe where beautiful design meets everyday childhood.

Founded in 2015, Dapper Mr Bear focuses on bringing together clothing, toys, interiors and gifts from around the world. Our collection celebrates quality, creativity and the magic of growing up.

Late in 2025, my husband Sam and I became the proud owners of Dapper Mr Bear. Alongside raising our two boys, August and Rupert, we spend our days growing a business that reflects the things we value most - quality, creativity and family.

My journey into retail began long before Dapper. I studied Fashion Design and spent many years working in the fashion industry, first in womenswear here in New Zealand and later as a womenswear garment technologist in London.

I've always loved fashion and the creative process behind bringing a collection to life, and those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for thoughtful design, quality construction and beautiful fabrics.

As an admirer of colour, print and texture, you'll often see those influences reflected throughout the Dapper Mr Bear universe.

While I love pieces that feel classic and timeless, I also believe childhood should be playful, expressive and full of imagination.

The brands and collections we bring to Dapper are chosen with this balance in mind - beautiful pieces designed to be worn, loved and passed on.

Every item in our store is selected because it brings something special to the families who discover it. Whether it's a favourite outfit, a treasured toy, a nursery piece or a meaningful gift, our hope is that Dapper Mr Bear becomes a place where you find pieces that create lasting memories.
